I know this is easier said than done. I make an effort to focus on the positive, but sometimes I have moments when I'm neither negative or positive. I call it the "meh-moment." When I get that way, I retreat to my corner for some quiet time so that I can reset. Some days are going to be better than others, and that's okay. I'm a real person with real problems, and I won't be bubbling brown sugar every day. I know when my oil needs changing. When I was a kid, my mom would quickly give me a tune-up when my attitude needed an adjustment. Now that I'm an adult, I know how to get in the self-service lane and change my own oil, and as a mom, I'm a master mechanic on my kiddos. A better quote for me would be, "Be so self-aware that people want to be near you because they feel respected in your presence." What would your quote say?
